Between the Lines

About the "Between the Lines" blog

Our latest exhibition "Between the Lines" reflects our response to the commemoration of the 1914-18 conflict.

This blog will focus on stories behind the work by the E.A.S.T artists as well as looking at other artistic and cultural commemorations around the UK that relate to WWI.

Artistic and cultural eventsPosted by Janette Thu, October 15, 2015 16:14:13

As part of the Cambridge Festival of Ideas, new EAST member, Felicity is one of the artists involved in an exhibition remembering the "forgotten heroes" of WWI.

This First World War centenary exhibition works with the artists - Janice Wilkins, Caroline Jaine and Felicity Borwick - to create a legacy for the "Forgotten Heroes" of the Great War, including people from Britain’s dominions and colonies who fought alongside the British. This collection of is as a result of artists collaborating with WWI historians to unearth images and stories of the subjects. Taking inspiration from the photographs, the artists have produced fresh new portraits to honour and commemorate their service.

Visit the Michaelhouse Centre in Cambridge between 19th and 31st October to be sure to see them and learn more about their stories.

For a free downloadable catalogue of the show please visit this link.
