Book from EAST project

EASTPosted by Janette Fri, October 21, 2011 17:52:37

My interest in the 18th century tokens of the Foundling Hospital started as an EAST project not long after I joined the group. It has been the inspiration for almost all the exhibitions I have been part of in the group. Now, with the help of my fellow researcher, Gillian Clark (not an EAST member) a book has been produced and is now available for sale not only at the Foundling Museum in London but also "across the pond" through Burnley and Trowbridge.

I met Angela Burnley through the Threads of Feeling research - her company caters for the 18th century researchers and re-enactors in the USA and I often look at the courses they offer in 18th century textile techniques. Hopefully one day I will get over there to see her shop and Colonial Williamsburg.

Anyone interested in finding out more about Burnley and Trowbridge - www.burnleyandtrowbridge.com; Angela also has a Facebook page for the company. For those wanting to know more about the Foundling Museum in London, UK - www.foundlingmuseum.org.uk.
